Sodium bicarbonate raw materials are usually coarse particles (d50 value is about 150-200 microns). To achieve higher reaction activity, the adsorbent must have a larger specific surface area and be ground to a certain fineness (d90: 20um or a suitable particle size adjusted as needed). For example, to remove SO2, the fineness of sodium bicarbonate must reach d90 < 20 µm. Removal of HCl only requires d90 < 35 µm.
In order to obtain the required sodium bicarbonate fineness in long-term operation, a crusher with a self-classifying system and a conveying fan are usually combined into a complete set of grinding and powder spraying devices. The crushed sodium bicarbonate fine powder has a layered or porous structure, uniform particle size, and good dispersibility. Then it is directly sprayed into the furnace or reaction tower through multiple nozzles as a solid ultrafine powder. It can effectively remove more than 95% of SO2 and HCI in the exhaust gas, and the removal rate can even reach 99%.
This dry desulfurization technology can be used not only in coal-fired power plants, garbage or alternative fuel incineration plants, but also in industrial furnaces in glass, cement, metallurgy and other industries. The use of dry flue gas purification can economically meet flue gas emission standards (such as China's GB 13223).
